Lafi-Sure
Fact-check a claim in Benin, in one conversation
Lafi-Sure brings fact-checking to where information actually travels: messaging apps. You send a rumor, a screenshot, a voice note or a link to @LAFISUREBOT, and it answers with a verdict, a confidence level and the official sources backing it. The system runs a RAG index over roughly 50 Beninese sources (government portals, press, fact-checking organizations). When confidence is too low, the claim is not guessed: it goes into a human verification queue. Phase 1 on Telegram, phase 2 on WhatsApp.

Text, voice, image
Voice notes are transcribed and screenshots are read, because a rumor rarely arrives as clean text
Sourced answers
Every verdict cites the official documents behind it. No answer without a source
Human escalation
Below a confidence threshold the claim goes into a fact-checker queue instead of being guessed by the model
Privacy by default
User identifiers hashed before storage, logs purged after 90 days, no third-party trackers
Disinformation travels through WhatsApp and Telegram in Benin far faster than official corrections, which stay buried on rarely visited websites. Checking a claim assumes you know the right sources, have mobile data to spare and know how to search.
